Lily Allen

Lily Allen is the 21 year old singer/writer who has been tearing up the web. Born in Hammersmith, Lily grew up listening to punk, ska and reggae.

Lily left school at 15 when it became obvious her creative needs were not being met. Books and music helped her do that. She became obsessed by quite arcane subjects, like second world war evacuation stories and books about 18th century aristocracy.

Lily's incisive lyrical observations belie her years. Even a cursory glimpse at her site shows a breathtaking appreciation of diverse music. Listed amongst a host of artists are names like The Specials, Rip Rig and Panic, T.Rex, The Slits, Blondie and Wreckless Eric, Kate Bush, Prince and Eminem.

Lily Allen isn’t cookie cutter pop, she is a true individual check out her website and fall in love with Lily www.lilyallenmusic.com

The four sisters who comprise R&B group Cherish have the rare combination of talent, intelligence and beauty that music scouts look for when trying to assemble the perfect group. Thing is, nothing about the Atlanta-based group is manufactured. Farrah (22), Neosha (20), and twins Felisha and Fallon (18), are naturally sophisticated enough to appeal to grown folks yet edgy enough to appeal to todays urban hit fans.

Having penned most of the songs on Unappreciated, their first album for Sho’Nuff/Capitol, each member of Cherish brings her own flavor to the group, resulting in a knock-out musical presentation that ranges from sassy to sensuous to crunk.

The infectious lead single “Do It To It,” produced by Don Vito (Jagged Edge, Mya), finds Cherish coming out the gate fresh and sassy with a sexy street sizzler that is a sure bet for the clubs and the airwaves.

In 2003, Chingy cashed in with his now classic, triple-platinum album Jackpot. He struck certified platinum again in ‘04’ with PowerBallin’, and now it’s 2006, Chingy is back with his third and most exciting album, Hoodstar.

Hoodstar is part auto-biographical, part club-bangin’ which is loaded with hardcore jams and party hits. The record is a big shout out to Chingy’s hometown—Walnut Park in North Side St. Louis.

To make musical magic, Chingy assembled an all-hoodstar team of producers, including Jermaine Dupri, Poli Paul, Timbaland, The Trak Starz, Mannie Fresh, Mr. Collipark and Kwame. Guest artists include Three 6 Mafia, Tyrese, Young Spiffy and Fatman Scoop.

Hoodstar hits stores September 19/06. For info at www.chingy.com

For the last 20 plus years Janet has busted up the pop and urban scenes with hits like Nasty, When I Think Of You, What Have You Done For Me Lately, Control, Pleasure Principal, Escapade, Black Cat, That’s The Way Love Goes, It Doesn’t Really Matter, All For You and I could go on but unfortunately, space is kind of limited.

What’s crazy is I have been spinning since her first hit, so Janet and I kind of grew up together. In 1986 I was a young DJ being crazy and she was a new artist just starting her musical journey.

Just like Madonna, Janet has proven no matter what the trend is she can still pump out a party jam or sexy ballad. It’s been great growing up with you Janet and I know this album as usual, will kick some ass.

Her latest album titled 20 Y.O. hits stores September 26/06
